whitesoxfan99
Gets another 9 figure contract from the TWolves. All this for a guy who has never gotten his team out of the first round of the playoff. ESPN Reports
moochpuppy
Up until this season they really haven't had the funds under the cap to sign any significant players (until this year with a couple great trades). The whole Joe Smith saga really crippled this franchise also. NTM, all this coinciding with the rise in power of the Western Conference. The Wolves will make, at least, the 2nd round this season. The reason they didn't have any room under the cap is because Garnett was making over $20 mil. He is a great player but he is no where near Tim Duncan. Duncan won the championship last year without a great supporting cast. Parker is solid but very inconsistent, Robinson was a shell of what he used to be, Mano was also pretty erratic, and Bowen can only defend. LOl dont even begin to compare last years wolves supporting cast to the spurs. It wasnt even close. I agree Duncan is better than Garnett, but Duncan is better than everyone. DBAHO
Hmm if I'm Garnett I would hav waited to the end of the year to see how Minny does in da playoffs. If they did bad, I would hav jumped ship to any Esatern Conference Team cos he'd hav more chance gettin to the NBA Finals there.

This would move New Orleans to the West.
JUGGERNAUT
Why do owners in all 4 major sports continue to bid against themselves? The NFL is the closest league to realism when it comes to salaries. This owner is sicker than Tom Hicks. Hicks got more years for less $ from A-ROD. When it's all said & done, that contract will be worth about 189MIL because there are so many clauses for the Rangers to get out of after that. Who in their right mind would have offered Garnett 180/5? That's just plain stupid. The smart thing would have been to offer a contract that matches Duncan's. That's the most you could argue that Garnett is worth. MJ must be shaking his head right now.
whitesoxfan99
And with this contract Derek Jeter has now been knocked out of the spot of must overpayed athlete. Over $30 mil a year for a guy who can't get out of the first round, give me a break. And I don't care what his supporting casts have looked like, this is an absolute joke. Well, KG better not complain when the TWolves put anything but scrubs around him after this year. Also, this owner gets my vote for dumbest owner in all of sports. Soxfest
KG is getting over 300 mil for next ten seasons and AROD got 250 mil for 10 years , KG got a better deal than AROD, ESPN said tonight.
