**President Trump 2018 Thread**

So the new budget sees a dramatic increase in spending. Revenues slashed with taxes, dramatic increase in spending.

The 2012 sequestration push during a time when increasing govt spending could have helped buoy a delicate economy was obviously ... so so sincere.

Complete removal of military spending caps with a partial removal for domestic spending caps and zero DACA protections. Schumer's touting the deal in the Senate while Pelosi's going on Hour 3 of protesting the agreement for abandoning DACA in the House. Ryan will need ~100 votes from Democrats to get anything through because the HFC is going to oppose this agreement.

They knew he was a wife beater BEFORE they brought him on. 2 ex's showed evidence he abused them to the FBI.. He was hired anyway. Hope Hicks, you might want a new boyfriend. Now that it's out, he has to go.

Another case where Trump only hires the best.

It's amazing how many people who can't pass FBI background checks are working in this White House. This guy would have been handling classified documents, too. Remember how concerned everyone was for about 15 months about the handling of classified information?

Just yesterday the White House was praising Porter, and Kelly personally asked him to stay on. The photos his first wife provided to the FBI are awful.

https://theintercept.com/2018/02/07/rob-por...use-trump-aide/

Kelly praised him to the Daily Mail. “Rob Porter is a man of true integrity and honor and I can’t say enough good things about him,” Kelly said. “He is a friend, a confidante and a trusted professional.”
He knew full well of the multiple accusations of beating his wives when he made these comments. Orrin Hatch also attacked people reporting on this story yesterday and came to Porter's defense. Edited by StrangeSox

More conspiracy peddling from Republicans in order to muddy the waters on FBI/Trump. This time, Sen. Johnson put out a highly misleading "report" on additional texts between agents Strzok and Page. He and other Republicans spent the day spinning up their base about a text about how "Obama wants to know everything we're doing," claiming or implying that it was about the Clinton email server investigation. Of course, a quick review of the timeline would have revealed that this claim made no sense, and now the WSJ is reporting that the text was about the FBI's investigation into Russian interference in the election.

You'd think these guys wouldn't have to lie constantly if they actually had anything legitimate to claim, but they know their base will eat it up anyway and it'll throw enough mud on the whole thing.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 08:23 PM)
Is there anyone Hope Hicks WASN’T dating in the Trump campaign/administration?

Somehow, she is going to end up the longest tenured staff member.

Or this is just a sexist smear that people keep falling back on.

The White House was informed of the allegations of multiple spousal abuse as far back as November. Kelly promoted Porter after learning of this. For some reason I'm reminded of the time Kelly dragged his dead son's legacy through the mud to defend Trump's call with that gold star widow.

It stuns me that a member of Congress would have listened in on that conversation. Absolutely stuns me. And I thought at least that was sacred. You know, when I was a kid growing up, a lot of things were sacred in our country. Women were sacred, looked upon with great honor. That's obviously not the case anymore as we see from recent cases.

Truly nostalgic for the way women were treated when he was growing up, I guess.

ICE is busy doing some truly monstrous stuff.

'Pillar of the community' deported from US after 39 years to a land he barely knows

This successful businessman and his US citizen wife were willing to self-deport to stay together: sold their house, went to airport. ICE told them to go home. A week later they scooped him up and put him on a plane with no chance to say goodbye to his family. I sure feel safer now.

They're also subpoenaing state Departments of Labor for records to help track down and deport as many people as possible.
