ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jan 29, 2018 -> 05:18 PM) MLBpipeline released their best tools winners out of the top 100. Or just "these are the other guys we considered"? Because if that means 2nd....then f***, that's amazing.
Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jan 29, 2018 -> 06:39 PM) By runner-up, do you mean...finished 2nd? Or just "these are the other guys we considered"? Because if that means 2nd....then f***, that's amazing. Technically it was “also in the running”, so not necessarily 2nd. Squirmin' for Yermin
Love the list. This is about what I would have thought for us except I'm shocked Rutherford cracked the top 100. Love the process!
KnightsOnMintSt
Love to see all the love that Hansen is getting. Could see him making the Top 30 when the mid-season rankings come out.
Squirmin' for Yermin
Any idea when they release the top 30 for each team?
kevo880
QUOTE (cjgalloway @ Feb 2, 2018 -> 03:54 PM) Any idea when they release the top 30 for each team? They typically make their rounds during training camp if my memory is correct.
oldsox
QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Jan 29, 2018 -> 03:08 AM) I cannot get over the Sox losing Tatis Jr. in the Shields trade. I was mad about it when it happened and now it just irks the he11 out of me when I see it come up, like it did at Soxfest. That will turn out to be the worst trade in White Sox history. It's tough to beat the Johnny Callison trade to the Phillies in 1959, but the Tatis trade probably will turn out to be Number One in that category. CaliSoxFanViaSWside
QUOTE (GermanSock @ Jan 29, 2018 -> 12:58 AM) It doesn't work for every guy of course but I think it is no coincidence that we see more late breakout players and almost all of them have gotten input from sources outside the game. Here is s list of guys of that mold -justin Turner -daniel Murphy -josh Donaldson -chris Taylor -aaron judge (he recently credited a guy I know from the internet for his success - the the dude is a giant asshole who insults anyone and got banned from about every forum but apparently he worked with judge, kingery and ian happ who all had great years) Sure it is no guarantee that it works, but conventional hitting coaching basically has a play it save and don't ruin the top guys philosophy. Now that's a guy who Avi needs to talk to or his hitting coach. The guy had 1 career HR before he fixed his swing to get more loft.
steveno89
QUOTE (KnightsOnMintSt @ Jan 31, 2018 -> 10:11 AM) Love to see all the love that Hansen is getting. Could see him making the Top 30 when the mid-season rankings come out. I'm happy to see Dane Dunning is starting to get some national recognition as a backend top 100 prospect. I think he absolutely can stick as a starter and develop into a solid #3/4 that eats innings.

Sleepy Harold
Buster Olney @Buster_ESPN The Astros’ Forrest Whitley, one of baseball’s best pitching prospects, has been suspended 50 games without pay for a violation of the minor-league drug program. Didn't really know where to put this, so feel free to bump.
