Squirmin' for Yermin
So.. what ever happened with the pitchers we drafted in like rounds 4-9 or something (I don't remember). Didn't we sign them all? How'd they perform? What's their expectations

bmags
Their workload was maxed after CWS. McClure pitched a few in AZL. I think Henzman was in GFL. Small work and I don't think anyone had very good stats. Spring Training and assignments will be interesting to follow.
KnightsOnMintSt
Tyler Johnson, 5th rd pick out of South Carolina, appeared in 8 games with Great Falls and 14 games with Kannapolis. During his time with Great Falls he appeared in 8 games, finishing with a 1-1 record and .90 ERA. After that, he was promoted to Kannapolis where he appeared in 14 games. He finished with a 0-0 record, 2 saves, and a 5.74 ERA.
bmags
With Johnson, while it's clear they see him as a reliever, I can't remember if they said they were going to work him as a starter in the minors. Does anyone else recall?
Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 17, 2018 -> 10:02 AM) With Johnson, while it's clear they see him as a reliever, I can't remember if they said they were going to work him as a starter in the minors. Does anyone else recall? Here's my guess: Tyler Johnson in relief as a back end guy at either Kannapolis or Winston Salem. McClure and Henzman will likely be starting at Kannapolis. Y2Jimmy0
As a matter of fact, here's my early guess for the Affiliates: Charlotte: Kopech, Adams, Guerrero, Stephens, Danish, Covey Birmingham: Hansen, Dunning, Banks, Puckett, Lambert Winston-Salem: Cease, Clarkin, Flores, Solorzano, Martinez, Andre Davis Kannapolis: Hickman, McClure, Henzman, Comito, Peralta
