Was hoping to see Stephens or Guerrero grab the 5th spot until Rodon is healthy, but with the Gonzalez signing, I don't think we'll see that. Unless they want to send Fulmer back to AAA.

Yeah it's possible. He should have to compete for the spot. Whoever pitches better in spring, bring them North.

Neither have been in AAA, and neither have exactly filthy stuff. Better for their development to not rush them like that. They should both start 2018 in the Charlotte rotation and make their way through some teams' lineups two or more games before they come up.

Adams had mixed results at Birmingham if you ask me. The velocity returned and the K/9 increased, but he gave up a ton of hits again and got lit up with HR's compared to his career norms. I know he's still young, but I really don't see much there other than a back end of the rotation if he's lucky. Much rather give the invites to guys much closer at making an impact and higher on the prospect depth chart.

You may be right about Adams but there is one thing to keep in mind.

Spencer Adams is still 1 and a half years younger than "phenom" Alec Hansen

and has always been young for his league. I think it's too early to tell what will

happen. The depth of the WS organization is probably why SA wasn't invited to

camp. To me that is a very good thing.

Scahill= Swarzyk

A - Swarzak

B - He definitely does not

C - Scahill will sit in the minors for the majority of the year and be depth for the White Sox. He'll probably be up 1-2 months all year and give you 15-20 innings total.

D - I went to high school with him and played with him - he's not capable of being a guy who is flipped for any type of prospect 5 months from now. Youre talking about a guy who walked 4 per 9 and struck out 4 per 9.

What's the relevance in this comment when talking about how he is now or if he can toss a career year?
