Jose Abreu
Jerry CrasnickVerified account @jcrasnick Hearing some buzz that the #Brewers are getting close to a trade. No more details at present, but they’ve been discussing outfielders with multiple clubs. Jerry CrasnickVerified account @jcrasnick If the #Brewers have a trade brewing, as I’m hearing, it’s not with the #SFGiants. They’ve also been talking to the #Whitesox, among other clubs. Avi? GenericUserName
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 21, 2018 -> 04:42 PM) Avi? Is it the Brewers getting an OF? I thought they already had a glut of OFs and I took the tweet to mean they were going to deal one of those guys.

Unless he means an OF prospect

GGajewski18
If we're talking position players going to Milwaukee, Yolmer makes the most sense for the Brewers
flavum
Before seeing it may be the Sox, I was thinking Chris Archer. We’lll see.

I don’t think Avi is getting traded before July. (Now watch Avi go tonight)

Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jan 21, 2018 -> 04:49 PM) If we're talking position players going to Milwaukee, Yolmer makes the most sense for the Brewers This was one of my Winter Meetings predictions. Would explain why they haven’t come to an arbitration agreement with Carlos despite being only $300k apart. Springfield Soxfan
I really believe that Avi will be traded because of this potential arbitration case.
GGajewski18
If this happens, think we trade for Brett Phillips.
GenericUserName
Only guys that make sense really seem like Yolmer because they need help at 2B or a reliever because contenders can never have enough relievers. Our highest end reliever is probably Nate Jones, so what can Nate Jones or Yolmer get from the Brewers? It said an outfielder, so probably one of the guys close to the majors, but what we're offering isn't great, so probably the low end of the guys that fit the bill. Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (Springfield SoxFan @ Jan 21, 2018 -> 05:01 PM) I really believe that Avi will be traded because of this potential arbitration case. Why would they deal him because of that? Brewers don’t need another OF, they need a 2B and Sanchez could fill the bill.

Chicago White Sox
Didn’t Crasnick do this same type of “trade coming but no details” leak when we traded for Soria?

Whisox05
https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/01/brew...medium=facebook Says the brewers have been looking for second base help. Also they have been trying to move santana

Looking for pitching, 2B help. Tom @Haudricourt 34m34 minutes ago More #Brewers also gave great CF depth if that's their best trade opportunity. Jose Abreu
Doubt the Santana tidbit has to do with us, unless it's another 3-teamer.

What teams need a corner OF? The Diamondbacks maybe, although they don’t exactly have a deep farm system.

Avi. They really don't have a glut of outfielders like their fans claim. All I see are Braun, Brinson, Santana, Phillips, and Broxton (who isn't really an MLB caliber OF). If 4 outfielders is a glut, then I guess every team has a glut. I could see something involving Avi with us taking Phillips back, or perhaps even taking Braun's contract off their hands for additional prospects.
