DirtySox
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 07:19 PM) Sheets and Basabe 2-2 Cordell off to a slow start He's striking out a f*** ton.
bmags
Basabe 3-3 with a triple now. Lambert a good start too. Yurchak, whom I was excited for, is still hitless.
daggins
Sheets hitting is nice Him having like, one XBH is less encouraging
Chicago White Sox
Wow, Basabe 5-5 since I ripped his slow start mid game yesterday.
flavum
Minaya gives up a triple and throws a wild pitch. Yeesh.
caulfield12
What's the scouting report on Skole...in terms of positional versatility? 1B/DH/LF? Can he play RF or potentially 3rd? Did anyone watch him carefully this spring?
daggins
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 07:54 PM) What's the scouting report on Skole...in terms of positional versatility? 1B/DH/LF? Can he play RF or potentially 3rd? Did anyone watch him carefully this spring? I know he's 28 and probably AAAA material. He seems constrained to the IF corners. caulfield12
Didn't realize he was already that old...scratch that idea, unless he's the VERY last guy off the bench like Saladino, Cordell, Palka, May, etc. The one thing he did well was hit in the spring, hit consistently...and he wasn't afraid to be up there with RISP. daggins
Patrick Leonard, who is still 25, is having a nice early season, but it's hard to shake the idea that he's little more than depth. Between Palka, Skole, Leonard and Gillaspie, Charlotte is just brimming with fringy 1B/DH types.
ChiSoxJon
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 08:49 PM) Wow, Basabe 5-5 since I ripped his slow start mid game yesterday. Awesome to see after last year Really think he'll be in the Top 100 discussion in the fall
ChiSoxJon
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 08:53 PM) Minaya gives up a triple and throws a wild pitch. Yeesh. Time to get him out the org.
ChiSoxJon
QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 08:06 PM) Big TJ House fan here Believe I saw him in A ball in 2009 with Lake County, real promising then
ChiSoxJon
Joel Booker really deserves more time but that OF is packed
bmags
QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 08:14 PM) Time to get him out the org. This is harsh.
daggins
Good: BASABE! Micker is looking p good early. He's still not walking, but the K's are in check McClure decent in his second outing Jose Rondon might be sort of interesting I guess Bad: Rutherford 0-4 3K's Each affiliate struck out at least 10 times :s Ugly: Ryan Cordell...woof Yurchak still 0-fer the season
GermanSoxFan
QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 03:16 AM) Joel Booker really deserves more time but that OF is packed I'd guess there will be a spot in Birmingham soon. This has to be the end of the line for Hawkins ans I don't think Eloy is in AA for more than one or two months.
caulfield12
Do they really need to push Jimenez that quickly...? Just not seeing the reason for it, unless he's just tearing AA completely apart.
GermanSoxFan
AAA by June and a September cup of cofffee and then being called up for good in May/June next year doesn't seem overly aggressive to me. caulfield12
I thought it meant bring him to Chicago in two months, not Charlotte...got it.
