zisk
Where is Alec Hansen? What is he doing? How is his fore arm? Enough of the secrecy please. Knowing our luck with injuries lately, he's probably working out with Carlos Rodon
bmags
He's ramping up throwing in AZ. Sox don't give daily updates on guys in the minors, so don't expect much info.
southsider2k5
Why would Hansen working out with Rodon be a bad thing? Hell, if they were rehabbing together, I think that would be wonderful. Who better to mentor Hansen than a professional pitcher with a ceiling like that?
steveno89
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 12:11 PM) Why would Hansen working out with Rodon be a bad thing? Hell, if they were rehabbing together, I think that would be wonderful. Who better to mentor Hansen than a professional pitcher with a ceiling like that? If Hansen is not throwing minor league innings by June 1st I would be concerned. As of right now we all can be patient.
DirtySox
Eric Longenhagen @longenhagen 1m Saw him walking around in shorts and a tee shirt this week. Was told it's going to be a while before he even gets on a mound. Scott Merkin @scottmerkin Alec Hansen still working his way back at extended. Needs to get back to feeling completely healthy and then build back up for time lost
maxjusttyped
Given how much attention is being paid to the farm system, it'd be nice if the Sox were more forthcoming with injury developments regarding their top prospects. hi8is
I'm concerned about this. Reminding me a lot of Rodon's injury and how it was "reported".... I also recall reading recently that the complaint that Hansen had to begin this often times has lead to TJS.

I get wanting to be careful with a top prospect, but no information in this case is scary.

What would there be to gain by withholding injury info about a top prospect?

oldsox
Hansen's face is on the web page of both W-S and Kanny.
Sarava
Hahn mentioned his forearm soreness has subsided and he will start bullpen sessions next week https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/news/white-sox-wont-rush-michael-kopech-to-majors/c-274730372
Baker
Rick Hahn chooses his words carefully. Hansen’s pain has “subsided” . That doesn’t sound good after all these weeks of rest. Enough with the bad luck!
DirtySox
Bill Mitchell @billazbbphotog Interesting rehab pitching match-up in extended spring training game between #Indians #Whitesox - Rob Kaminsky & Alec Hansen

southsider2k5
Very happy to see this. Was hoping Hansen would have been pushing towards AAA at this point of 2018, but stuff happens. Hopefully he steps back into where he left off.

Probably because Caulfield has been calling Basabe “Lou Bob” since Spring Training. Thanks for clearing that up.
chitownsportsfan
Robert back in full game action before June is a pretty good outcome for that injury. Must not have had any setbacks. He should be out of the woods now, presumably he's been swinging a bat full bore for a week or so now.

The fact of the matter is Robert hasn’t been playing for weeks. If he had been listed in the minors reports every night like The Besssss, or Lamantha, no confusion.
