fathom
Nasty final pitch. Team is crazy bad with RISP, as they even had two hits that didn't score anyone
caulfield12
Tip your cap. How close was he on the previous fastball that he fouled off? At least he's timing 96-97 mph stuff.
fathom
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 05:06 AM) Tip your cap. How close was he on the previous fastball that he fouled off? At least he's timing 96-97 mph stuff. He was behind on the fastballs in last at bat. Had a good swing on 3-1. Anyone in baseball strikes out on that 3-2 pitch
SoxAce
Didn't realize Timmy had 2 walks as well. Pretty good night for the young guys.
caulfield12
46,028 White Sox should try that for some of their weekday APRIL/SEPTEMBER games.
soxforlife05
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 10:26 PM) Is our AAA manager any good? Let him take over the big league club if we must save $$. Ricky needs to go. When we play this bad I think about Jason on a podcast saying how overjoyed every single Sox fan was at Soxfest. It was a party with people cheering Hahn everywhere he walked and worshiping him cause everybody loves the rebuild. We could give Omar Vizquel a shot. caulfield12
Anderson now has 6 walks and 16 K's. 50 at-bats. (16/56=28.6%) Moncada, 27 k's, 10 walks, 56 at-bats (so technically 27/66=40.9% Obviously that has to come down to AT LEAST the mid 30's, if not lower 30's. soxforlife05
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 10:27 PM) Any spending they do will be offseason and have nothing to do with attendance. Yes I want them to suffer embarrassment of low crowds if they are going to put this product on the big league field. The problem with that is we don't know where the holes will be once the young guys are all up. That could tie up a bunch of money in signings in what becomes an area of strength that we can't offload, which will cripple the roster flexibility when the window of contention is open. Basically it's a risk the team does not need to take yet. We won't have unlimited payroll so the cautious approach to signings at this point is warranted. Lip Man 1
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 11:15 PM) 46,028 White Sox should try that for some of their weekday APRIL/SEPTEMBER games. With lousy weather in April and school in session in September it'll never work. And JR isn't going to give anything away for free.
Lip Man 1
The Sox "Turned Back the Clock" with the 1968 uniforms. They also played like that garbage team did. 95 losses that year, a MLB record 44 by one run.
caulfield12
We are currently on a 46-116 pace, fwiw. Somehow, there are five teams with even worse records. Edited April 18, 2018 by caulfield12
