I have a friend who is a die hard Braves fan, and he says the Braves can get around on Prior, but he also says that Sheff has been trying too hard, and is popping the ball up a lot. With the weather and the lack of experience, I think Maddux has the advantage. I don't think the noise of Wrigley will effect OR intimidate Maddux at all. aboz56 Posted October 3, 2003 Share Posted October 3, 2003 As much as I hate to say it, Maddux has been inconsistent this year and isn't really that great of a postseason pitcher (11-13 lifetime). He's got the capability of being bombed. You can argue that Prior has no postseason experience and is in uncharted territory in innings pitched, but you can't argue that he is one of the most if the most talented pitchers in the game today.
