NorthSideSox72
Julie's column this week dives into the winding, and often parallel, developmental paths of the twin brothers, Luis Alexander and Luis Alejandro Basabe. Here it is. Some very interesting trends in their paths, even when away from each other.
oldsox
The other Basabe is not listed on the D-Back's Top 30 list, FWIW.
pcq
If it weren't for their names being so different I would be really confused. We could call our guy Yolmer Basabe.

They screwed up the paper work and wrote the wrong name. Red Sox kept the guy the Dbacks actually wanted, and then obviously traded him to us for Sale. That's exactly what I heard from a hard core BoSox fan right after the Sale trade.

Berry but they got J. Barry or something like that That was Kenny's favorite deal, the Berry/Barry trade with LA. They fleeced him, but no one involved had any impact in MLB. It would have embarrassed most GM's, but not Kenny.
Wanne
great read.... yeah...I doubt the Dbacks ever actually admit it...and it's honestly no surprise it came on Dave Stewart's watch.
