Going into a season with Shields and MiGo as top two starters and Nate Jones (lol) and Soria (bigger lol) as your two late inning guys means you are trying to win 5-8 games a month ... PERIOD!! Expand Maybe it's because Bummer has already allowed 11 inherited runners to score and shouldn't even be on a big league roster. If so, I applaud his thinking. They will lose 101+, and assuming the standings finish the way they did in 2017, that will be enough to have the first overall pick which is definitely more exciting than finishing 75-87 and finishing 10 GB of 1st.
