LittleHurt05
New Jersey won its case to legalize sports betting, now its up to the other states to decide if they want to legalize it.
Dick Allen
They will, at least eventually. 20 years from now, they will have windows at whatever they call Sox Park then to place your bets, while you go out to the smoking area to smoke some weed. Too much money not to.

southsider2k5
With the casinos most states have in place, plus the huge need for cash they have in IL, I would bet we see sports gambling in the state in less than 5 years, tops.

The racetracks need it to stay alive. Arlington has been begging for a racino for a long time, if they get that influx of business from setting up sports betting, I bet we see a rebound in interest

Bazox
Bookmakers offering 2000/1 the White Sox for the WS over here , the Reds are 5000/1 , Bookmakers will no longer offer high odds on the EPL winners after Leicester City did the unbelievable 2 years ago. Texsox
The Texas High School Coaches Assoc is already discussing what happens when we have lines for high school games. Don't think it is crazy. You can already bet teenager soccer matches around the globe, why not 17 and 18 year olds playing American football? Several of the off shore books already take action on televised high school games. I image the basketball coaches in Indiana must be considering the implications there.

Texsox
No doubt. What we're looking at is how will spreads being published in the local papers affect the games? Plus, there isn't a lot of oversite on high school coaches and players, not like NCAA and the NFL. Seems like there could be some real temptation.
