flavum
This may be hyperbolic, but when I watch Cease, I see a more surer thing to be a great big leaguer than Kopech. I just don’t know in which role.

fathom
If you watch this game and say there are 5 better pitching prospects in baseball, then that's surprising

Kopech hasn’t gotten on a run yet, though. Middle to end of last year he was unhittable. Glad we have both. Dude's going to end the night with a wRC+ in the 160 range. If anything, I don't think there's enough excitement around him right now. At this point it's still a few years away but FFS baseball has to change this asinine system. Find an incentive for clubs to promote these guys for 100% baseball reasons, or as close to that 100% as you can. Probably should just give roster bonuses that have little if anything to do with arbitration.

mac9001
Anthony Villa through 100+ PAs is somehow putting up a near .500 BABIP. That's just crazy. That dude needs to pick my lotto numbers.

caulfield12
The weird thing is that Kanny has one of the best records in the minor leagues of any team...and they have the least amount of "prospect talent" of any team in our system. Jirschele has (seemingly) done a very good job with them.

The Sox are going to get something that contributes to the ML team out of that Kanny rotation.
caulfield12
Ian Hamilton hunkered down in the bottom of the 9th and preserved the tie to put BIRM into the 10th. The big names should get an opportunity this inning to take the lead....well, maybe not, Schroeder/Polo/Mendick, hopefully one can get on to get the game to Collins/Jimenez/Rose. caulfield12
Collins with runners on 1st and 2nd, 2 outs. Fisher pinch ran and got cut down trying to get to 3rd on a ball hit on the infield... And he walks on 4 pitches to bring up Jimenez with bases loaded. 3 for 3, plus 3 walks. Edited May 25, 2018 by caulfield12
