Christ on a cookie he actually does look better so far.

No kidding. Breaking ball was looking very nice. Touched 94 on the fastball as well.

We'll see if it continues, but so far - so good.

That was a strike, the first one was marginal...could have gone either way.

Did Moncada sleep with one of the umpires' wives or girlfriends?  Hard to figure out any other explanation for some of the calls he's gotten the last 10 days (across multiple home plate umps).

It wasn't even close.  Giolito got the benefit of one as well.

Palka would be on pace for exactly 30 homers if he got 625 at-bats...(horseshoes, hand grenades, etc.)

Has Renteria been asked on the record about some of the ball/strike calls the last couple of weeks...and why he hasn't even gone out once to protest?

Just a weird situation not to stick up for your players...

Watching Palka... I'm not sure how he never was viewed as a potential option as an MLB outfielder. I just looked it up and his numbers in the minors were more than respectable throughout his time with Arizona and Minnesota's organizations. I mean, his raw power at the plate alone, especially from the left side. You'd think somebody would have wanted to give him a chance.

93.7 the best FB that inning to retire Chisenhall...

Melky putting up some Engel-like numbers, don't miss that version of him.

Yeah, it's what he gets for not signing a contract through spring training and the beginning of the season.

actually nobody offered him anything more than a spring training invite because he sucks and it's only now that guys are injured that he can claim a roster spot.  He's a .5 WAR player, at best.
