ChiliIrishHammock24
Is Charlotte's TV gun slow? Or just their stadium gun? Because Kopech is sitting at 98-99 right now. 2nd inning - Strikeout - Chopper to 3rd - Strikeout 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K Edited July 19, 2018 by ChiliIrishHammock24

Nokona
About 3 more starts with stuff like this and he should be on the MLB roster. Looks like he's turning the corner at AAA Edited July 19, 2018 by Nokona

I don't ask because I expect faster, I ask because I remember those saying it was slow, so I was wondering if he's actually sitting at 101-102 or not. 98-99 is perfectly fine. lol
ChiliIrishHammock24
Leadoff hitter served a single to CF. Kopech threw him a nice 81-mph curveball low and the batter threw his bat at it and flipped it over 2B. Our old friend Mike Olt flew out to CF. ChiliIrishHammock24
The next hitter flew out to RF and then the next guy hit a 2B off the end of his bat that Eloy didn't get to quick enough. Not hard hit.
ChiliIrishHammock24
Leonard makes a nice stab at 3B to keep it scoreless. 3rd inning.... - Single - Flyout - Flyout - Double - Groundout 3 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K I don't think he's had a 3-ball count yet. ChiliIrishHammock24
Kopech's 4th.... - Groundout - Strikeout (change-up, called) - Strikeout (change-up, swinging) 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K Still hasn't had a 3-ball count. Dude is locked in with his command.

That's why I'm wary of his potential. He'll hit for average but won't slug and won't have much value with OBP relative to his average, barring changes in his approach

I want to see him against Toronto two weekends from now
ChiliIrishHammock24
Eloy flicks an 0-2 pitch to the warning track in RF. He wasn't even close to squaring that one up.

ChiliIrishHammock24
Ti'Quan Forbes lines a double to the LCF gap. Any good major league LF makes the catch, but this guy couldn't.
ChiliIrishHammock24
FIrst batter of the 5th "singles" on a ball to 2B. Skole and Alvarez both thought the other one would take it, so they both let up and there was no play.
Jose Abreu
Clint Frazier pulled from AAA game. Some think he hurt himself on a diving play earlier, others claim he stayed in the game and was fine after said play
ChiliIrishHammock24
Kopech with his first "walk" of the game. The ump missed 2 strikes, at least borderline, in that AB.
Sticky Stuff
For those watching the Charlotte game does Kopech always have the bad body language? He just slipped after a pitch, and looked like he wanted to toss his mit. He shows some kind of geasture every time he pitches.

He should be out of this inning but his defense failed him on a grounder and the umpire made some questionable calls on the walk. No excuse for his body language and something he should work on, but there's a reason at least
