southsider2k5 Posted August 6, 2018 Share Posted August 6, 2018 LaMarre doesn't preclude Eloy. He just gives you a guy who can cover CF if needed. This does leave the Sox even thinner on the IF. It means that basically the only back up for the middle IF is our starting 3B now. If Anderson or Moncada get a day off, Davidson has to play 3rd, with Yolmer sliding into the middle infield. Reynolds has been way better in his career than what we've seen from Davidson. He's very inconsistent about it, but over his career he's been a slightly above average hitter (.787 OPS, 105 OPS+).
