Players wear alternate jersey's and put nicknames on the back or names of friends/ relatives who have passed away or anything really .One player named Boxberger had emoji's of a box and a burger on his jersey. Also bats and cleats could be decorated and colorful. One player had plain white cleats decorated with the names of kids in a hospital he visited with around 80 kids adding their names to his shoes in their own writing . Sox catcher Kevan Smith honored former friend and teammate Daniel Webb who passed away last October by putting Webby on his jersey. Then he proceed to hit a HR in his very 1st swing wearing that jersey and it was his 1st HR of the year.
