Question about the Blackhawks..

Recommended Posts

If I'm not mistaken they even blackout most of the ESPN and ABC games also, I had to go to a bar to watch a playoff game that was supposed to be on ABC a couple years back.

Because of the whole tv thing and the all around bad ownership that reason i refuse to go to any Blackhawks games.

Bill Wirtz is such a bad owner he makes Reinsdorf look good.

I posted this in the other thread, but here is the schedule for ESPN/ESPN2.

Tomorrow night's opener is on ESPN. November 9th against Colorado is on the Deuce. December 11th against Detroit(SUCKS) is on ESPN. December 14th against Dallas and December 28th against Detroit(SUCKS) are both on the deuce. January 11th against Colorado is on the deuce. February 19th against San Jose, February 28th against St. Louis and April 4th against Dallas are on ESPN.

The ESPN games are not blacked out in the Chicago area, but the ESPN2 games are. We have one game on ABC against Boston on Valentines Day.

Are home games going to be televised this year? I never understood why they didn't, and believe fans were being cheated. I haven't been keeping up to date on my BlackHawk news, so I'm a wee bit behind. It was news to me that Tony Amonte left a long while ago.  :o

Why would dollar f***ing bill wirtz televise home games? He has his precious, yet dwindling, base of "Season Reservation Holders" to think of. God forbid he generate some interest in the team by televising home games. Yet, in all fairness, who is really motivated to watch a lifeless moribund team mail in another game against a team like the Atlanta Thrashers anyway?
