Swarzak and Kahnle would quality as "nearly amazing" for the Sox, just like Fat Albers the first couple of months before the wheels fell off...think it was that game he pinch ran against the Mets.

In terms of short term relievers that pitched for us, Anthony Swarzak deserves nothing but love.

I'm not sure how everybody can be wrong, but they are.

Swarzak was absolutely not "pretty bad for us".

He also did not command any more than Cordell, with no track record to speak of.

I'm actually more incensed at calling Swarzak bad for us. If this is pretty bad, god help any reliever we have that isn't Mariano Rivera.

Swarzak's ERA for this season is 6.14.  That's awful by any standard.  What he did last year is irrelevant.

So what you are saying is Rick Hahn picked a nothing pitcher off of the scrap heap and sold him at his peak.

I agree.  Nice job Rick Hahn.

Hahn traded a bad pitcher for a bad outfielder,  That's not a "nice job."

You're literally the only person b****ing about the Swarzak-Cordell trade, but mad we didn't get enough value for a pitcher that you said was bad? What is your argument?

Rondon needs to get the starting opportunity at 3B next year over Yolmer.

Yolmer can be the supersub, his most suitable role...and Leury for OF/defense/PR, if you duct tape him up and he can still stand.

Yup. There's some serious power potential in Rondon's bat. He really, really needs a full season of MLB at bats.

Also, this was one of those 10 or so games this year that Tim Anderson won pretty much on his own with his defense and timely hitting.
