ChiSox59
This reminds me of the Zimmerman deal for Detroit.
EvilJester99
Peter GammonsVerified account @pgammo Replying to @Buster_ESPN Which may be a reason for this exchange:"If you're a contender, do you want Greinke at three years and $104M or Corbin at six and $140?" GM:"No brainer. Greinke."

The Zimmerman comparison is a good one.
Dominikk85
It is a risk but Zimmerman never showed that underlying skill. Yeah it was only a year but he was a top prospect and you can't fake a 25 % k-bb rate. Injury is a risk and he had tj but then again any pitcher can get hurt. Zimmerman's 2013 and 2014 (he signed his deal after 2015) were pretty similar to Corbin's 2018. Zimmerman actually had significantly more ML success than Corbin prior to monster FA deal, and they were similar ages when big deal was signed.
