Bowden was a GM.  I bet its done.

Yeah. Rounding third base would seem to mean years and dollars are set but details are still finalizing.

Also seems like a lot of smoke the past two days and Bowden just lit a bonfire.

The exact quote is as follows:

"I keep hearing there's a lot of momentum and traction here on [Bryce Harper] going and signing with the Philadelphia Phillies. He could be rounding third and heading home shortly." -@JimBowdenGM says Bryce Harper could be making his announcement very soon. pic.twitter.com/WxIFU27…

Bowden has been wrong like seven different times just this offseason. Guy is an absolute boob

Everyone has been wrong this off-season, but for Rosenthal who just hasn't said anything really.

This is the first time he's said it's almost done, and as I said... no reason not to believe him over most of the dopes we've quoted here the past month.

Based off past behavior, equally likely that he’s running with the reporting of that Washington radio reporter (Martin?), saying “rounding third” is something he can back track on if it falls through.

This takes something that is out there and modifies it a little bit.

He said he heard it from a source; he wasn't regurgitating the report from Martin.

Bowden also said that Harper has no desire to go to a team that's not going to win in 2019.

Then I don't know why he's supposedly signing with the 3rd place Phillies who might not even finish better than 4th in that division.

coming round second you need some disinfectant, diarrhea cha cha cha diarrhea cha cha cha

coming round third you feel a big green mushy turd, diarrhea cha cha cha diarrhea cha cha cha

sliding into home your pants are full of foam, diarrhea cha cha cha diarrhea cha cha cha.

The Sox have a better chance of winning their division than the Phillies do theirs.

If Lindor misses the entire year, Ramirez starts hitting like the Sox version of Manny and two starting pitchers go down to season ending injuries, AND their bullpen is a similar train wreck to last year.

The Braves and Nats should both be right there, but Harper to Philly and away from Wash should make them co-favorites along with Atlanta.

And if Cespedes wasn’t bigger than CJ Anderson and not likely to miss the entire season, the Mets might have a somewhat plausible case to compete.

But I thought he was studying the farm system?

Impressed with Thome, Kopech’s flowing locks, fan of Giolito/López/Dunning from his time in WASH, blown out of the water by video presentation, loves city of Chicago in summertime, has heard only good things about Renteria, etc.
