The starting pitching will be extremely suspect but if they land Machado they might have the best lineup in the division. That is if Moncada improves and Eloy is what we hope he will be. a 3-4-5-6 of Machado, Abreu, Eloy and Yonder is pretty good.

That is not better than Cleveland's lineup.

Probably wishful thinking, but Machado this offseason and one of Sale/Bumgarner/Cole next offseason would be amazing. They could even package some of their prospects for a young pitcher in a trade at some point. Lots of possibilities.

But does he specifically have more insight currently about what is going on with the Machado signing? If yes then he hasn't revealed any of that new info.

Yes. And nothing new revealed was intentional.

If you’re getting the second half versions of Alonso and Jay, there’s still not that much to be excited about...that said, obviously Jimenez and Machado together are huge, but then we have to turn around and replace Abreu/Alonso anyway.

There will certainly be a lot of Goldschmidt “win now/all in” discussions for 2020, as we will see him a lot more frequently playing for the Cardinals and all those games being played in EST or Central Time.

Caulfield randomly with the bucket of cold water for some reason.

I was really starting to get annoyed that we weren't talking more about the cardinals chances with Goldschmidt I'm glad he brought it up

It’s going to be a lot more than that if Hahn fails to land Machado...of course, at that point, there will be pretty much nothing left to talk about until Jimenez’s debut.

There you go, by the way, 3 names.

-3 is lowering the mean/median/mode significantly.
