Remember all those moves that were in the pipe line? Whoops. We're rolling with this team into the season. Embrace that high draft pick.

I assure you if this off season flops, Hahn, KW, and JR won't want to be around this city.

Yoan made like 20 errors last year almost entirely on fielding the ball. His throws were fine. Now you give him a more difficult throw while also giving him less of a chance to showcase his range. To add to this, his bat went from the chance to be well above average at 2nd to average at 3rd.  Nothing about this potential move seems like a smart decision.

Exactly. I don't think they could carry both Rondon and Garcia. It would make sense to have Moncada be able to play both 2B and 3B with Davidson gone.

Pretty sure there is room for both talking about the current roster.

C Castillo, McCann

1B Abreu, Alonso

2B Sanchez

3B Moncada

SS Anderson

LF Eloy

CF Jay

RF Palka

And then 3 spots for Engel, Rondon, and Leury.

Edit: not going to lie, that was disappointing to type out.

Looks like Machado will land in SD. Although, the MLB network radio people keep saying the Yankees will somehow jump in and get him. Sounds like the White Sox are slipping away from both Machado and Harper from all recent reports. Not good. It will be yet another offseason of false hope and disappointment for us White Sox fans. The thought of a full season of Moncada at 3B is frightening. If he played sub-par defense at a much easier 2B position, how can we expect him to perform well at the hot corner? #WorriedSoxFanHere

Rebuilding is a 4 year plan. They are starting year 3. Buckle up and strap it down.

See...I disagree.  The only difference between now and last week is...they guys started to kick the ball around on the field.  The season technically started for baseball activity and that's what's taking place.  The teams in the race for Harper/Machado are still in the race because they haven't signed, but SD and Philly are rolling their guys out on to a field now too because it's time to do that...they aren't punting on the FA signings because it's February 18th and it's time to roll with who you've got.

I don't think what takes place right now in AZ has anything to do with what our roster composition will be for Opening Day.  The guys we have on our roster right now are getting off the buses and shaking off rust, that's about it...if anything...the more the decision makers look around at these guys now, it's becoming more obvious to them how much we need a true 3rd baseman/infield solution.

The amount of panic going from some posters here is astonishing.

It's providing some entertaining lunch reading for me at the very least. With how this off-season has gone, I don't know how anyone can take anything at face value right now.

Our rebuild is much different Than the norm. We were able to turn our farm from almost worst to first In less than a year.

That's why it's about a 4 year plan. Those drafted prospects will take 3-4 to get to the MLB, while some of the trades guys will get there a little earlier.
