Moan4Yoan
That looked like a video game where Keenum just ran into the invisible wall on his dive.
SoxAce
Hey look at that.. they're actually running the ball now.. and using Montgomery at that. What I was calling for 10 minutes ago. Edited September 24, 2019 by SoxAce

You need to watch Montgomery run more.. elite vision. Makes alot of plays out of nothing.
kwolf68
Monty doing work. Love this kid's vision and fight. Not a burner, but looks like a damn nice back.

Which is my point that they cant sustain it because the line won't give them the opportunity. There is no way they could count on it for 2 drives. Regardless of how good the RB is, he cant sustain it without help from the line.

Part of the problem is that the sets they use for running arent that amazing. Too many runs out of shotgun, it doesnt really let the lineman get going downhill. I think the last series is the first time Ive seen them in I-form all year. IMO Nagy spends so much time thinking of clever plays, he gets away from working on the basics. The Bears are up 28, its not the time to be running Patterson up the middle. Its the time to get Montgomery work, etc.

A change of pace back works best when your bigger back wears on a defense to start. There are just so much better ways to get Cohen the ball in the run game that arent running up the middle. Plus, those shorter throws under ten yards should be on the money for an NFL QB. That’s why a few people noticed them and mentioned them in this thread.

pettie4sox
They won against a team they should have. Next is the Vikings, a real test... let's hope the bears bring their A game a win. It's time to show they are the defending NFC North Champs for a reason. Chisoxfn
I’ll take it. Kicked ass and Mitch had some tds. Still more room to grow but a win is a win! Vikings game is going to be tough.

Harry Chappas
The O line cannot run block. That is the issue and has been for a while. Cohen and Patterson are not options between the tackles.

For whatever reason this line just isn't run blocking well.
