Because what else is there to do but b****?

Assuming no more major league additions, here is my shot at the OD roster:

Catcher: Castillo

1B: Abreu

2B: Yolmer

SS: Anderson

3B: Moncada

LF: Palka

CF: Engel

RF: Jay

DH: Alonso

BN: Leury (out of options), Rondon (out of options), McCann

Rotation: Rodon, Lopez, Nova, Giolito, Banuelos (out of options)

Bullpen: Colome, Herrera, Jones, Fry, Frare, Covey, Hamilton, Minaya (out of options)

DL: Santana

Eloy, Delmonico, Cordell and the array of bullpen arms (Ruiz, Vieria, Bummer, Fulmer, Burr, Burdi, Stephens, Medeiros, etc. start in the minors)

Jay, Anderson, Abreu, Alonso, Palka, Castillo, Moncada, Sanchez, Delmonico

Garcia, McCann, Guyer

Rodon, Nova, Lopez, Giolito, Covey until Santana is ready

Banuelos, Fry, Minaya, Bummer, Ruiz, Jones, Herrera, Colome

Probably have the pen wrong, but who cares?

I will guess that the White Sox still end up trading for OF Joc Pederson

This is wishful thinking because it doesn't include a really bad baseball player who seems like a roster lock for some reason.

1. Jon Jay CF

2. Yoan Moncada 3B

3. Jose Abreu 1B

4. Yonder Alonso DH

5. Joc Pederson RF

6. Daniel Palka LF

7. Welington Castillo C

8. Tim Anderson SS

9. Yolmer Sanchez 2B

Bench

C James McCann

INF Jose Rondon

OF Brandon Guyer

1. Carlos Rondon

2. Reynaldo Lopez

3. Lucas Giolito

4. Ivan Nova

5. Manny Banuelos

Bullpen

Alex Colome

Kelvin Herrera

Nate Jones

Juan Minaya

Ian Hamilton

I know it's pretty much a foregone conclusion, but I hate that Yolmer is gonna be the everyday 2B. We already know what we have in him. I'd rather give someone like Jose Rondon reps.

100% agreed. Yolmer is fine for what he is but he should be a utility guy from here on out.

God that team is terrible. Might even be worse than last year if it's even possible.

Yes, it's terrible...but no way is it as bad as last year.  The bullpen alone makes it better than last year, and that's assuming nobody improves (Moncada, Giolito, etc.)

He was a 2.2 WAR player as a 24 year old. 1.7 last year. Yolmer could have a couple 3 WAR seasons if he could improve his offense just a little. He's a better player than rondon imo. And he has a chance to be a above average everyday starter.

No one thinks that Santana breaks camp with the team?   I know he was only signed to a minor league deal, but I assumed he would be part of the rotation.    There was no real reason to sign him unless he's going to be an innings eater or trade bait for this season.

Sounds like he is behind schedule.  Banuelos is out of options.  Makes sense for the Sox to roll with Banuelos to start and see if they have anything and let Santana get some reps in AAA first (assuming his contract allows for that).

Could always just put Banuelos in the pen over someone like Frare as well.

He's their #5 starter for sure. I'm not sure he's healthy to start the year though

You think Sox let Leury go?
