Insp
Jim Boylen was a failed head coach of the University of Utah and was rightfully fired. He was hired by the Chicago Bulls because he came cheap, He has clearly shown that he is a failed coach at all levels and needs to be fired if the Bulls are to progress. Dick Allen
He sucks but for some reason GarPax seem to like him. I would imagine his leash is short. One management position they have no problem changing is the head coach. A couple of years from now, we will forget about his reign.

Chisoxfn
Out of curiosity, why the fire Boylan thread now? Did something happen against the Kings? If not, hasn’t Boylan done a decent job the past month or so. Look at the development of Lauri and especially Lavine over second half of the season (As an example). Not saying Boylan is the second coming either (don’t think we have seen enough of a sample to conclude on that) but I’ve seen far worse coaches. To be fair, they fired Boylan well over a decade ago As for this thread...this is strange timing for it. The players now like him, the team has looked more coherent since the Porter trade. After his debut? Hell yeah. He was fucking awful. But either he learned from his mistakes or something happened to make it all click in the locker room, because they all seem to enjoy each other now. bmags
Boylen should be replaced at seasons end. The defense has been a tire fire the last week, he keeps going under screens even when it burns him. He opened up the offense, but he should have never closed up the offense. And now he keeps getting in unnecessary shots against other coaches (See phx last night, and doc rivers last friday). Seems like a nice guy but hasn't done anything to deserve more than be an interim coach.
Texsox
He is a really nice guy. Nice enough for me to be pulling really hard for his success. My wife taught his kids when he was on the Spurs staff. Pops always had high praise for him.
