Are There Any Windy City Bulls Fans Here?

Recommended Posts

You don't hear much about the Windy City Bulls in the media, but the Chicago Bulls' NBA G League affiliate have clinched a playoff spot with a winning record.  If Bulls management does not screw things up, it looks like some good talent may be coming to the Bulls the next season or two.

Is the D league still a thing or did this take it's place? If the D is still around, what's the difference?

Just new name for the d league. And if bulls are relying on the guys in the d league emerging they are hosed.

The NBA has recently embraced the minor league farm team concept.  If the Bulls are to compete, they need to embrace the concept at least as much as other teams.

What other teams have benefited from multiple G league players getting promoted and excelling?

I hope the Bulls can identify role players and groom guys, but I think they've done a decent job when you look at Arc, Harrison, and Seldon.  All of them have their limitations and none are starters, but they all have shown an ability to be solid role players / bench guys.

I agree. Teams seem to be using the system to make money, expand the fan base, etc. I really don’t see it as developing players. Rosters are small and top college players can make an impact immediately.
