As long as Eloy puts up a 3 WAR seasons (as projected by many publications) and Palka shows any kind of improvement, we won’t be a bottom 5 OF. EloyJenkins Posted March 27, 2019 Share Posted March 27, 2019 Eloy, Robert, Harper....oh what could have been. Anyways - Eloy, Robert, Basabe will be really good in 2020 at some point with L. Gonzalez chomping at the bit. Jon Jay will be serviceable this season as a bandaid for FA failure. ChiSox59 Posted March 27, 2019 Share Posted March 27, 2019 Jay did not play much CF this spring. 15 innings in CF, 41 in RF, and 0 in LF. I don't think Jay is going to the the primary CF at any point this season like many of us expected. This OF is actually better than what I was expecting. If you are not getting offense from your OF you will not win. Plus we can bring in defensive replacements in the third inning if needed.
