94% efficacy is still 6% not.  Honesty the fact that he doesn't have symptoms is a sign that he could have had the vaccine.

The Padres, following in the stealthy/obfuscating pattern of GM Preller, wouldn't announce publicly (due to privacy reasons) whether they'd been vaccinated in the last couple of months.

The Yankees in this situation have been much more forthcoming, especially as it relates to Gleyber Torres.

Will Myers also out...so three regulars and a valuable bench piece in Mateo.

Voting that we add the name CJ Abrams since Top 5-10 MiLB thread on Kelenic, lol.

You just a little hoe ain't you?

50th career homer

Trout’s came on July 8th, 2013, at basically 21 years and 11 months old.

Tatis’ at 22 years and almost five months.

266 career games for Trout to get there, 161 games for Tatis to do the same.   Obviously missing almost two months with the back tweak at the end of 2019, 102 games to Covid-19 last year and 17 out of the first 45 games (Covid and shoulder) this year knocked him back a bit.

Playing without Myers (Covid) and Machado (shoulder) now...

Rockies all-star shortstop Trevor Story crushed his 100th career homer Friday at Coors Field against the Orioles. The blast was a mammoth shot that had some history behind it as Story is now the fastest shortstop on MLB history to 100 home runs.

It took Story 448 games to accomplish the history feat. The previous mark was set by Alex Rodriguez who hammered his first 100 dingers 470 games.

The only other player to get the job done in under 500 career games was Nomar Garciaparra at 491.

Would have picked Ernie Banks, A-Rod or Cal Ripken for this one.  Nomar started out great and fizzled. Back in the day, it was him, Jeter and Tejada ruling the AL.

Tatis’ current pace is to hit #100 in 324 games.

Myers and Hosmer were clowning on him for wearing Crocs...

“Spinning” Swag chain custom-made by Machado’s engagement ring jewelers.

Also work for the Kardashians and Beyonce, lol.

That team is so loose now and having a lot of fun, the antithesis of the White Sox.

Worn by Austin Nola and Tatis twice now.  Spinning special effect is optional.

They stole that idea from the White Sox from last season.

JR didn't kick in the money for the professionally-designed jewelry piece (Machado's $240 million came in quite handy), though.  The Sox one was more like a toy in comparison.

“Manhattan-based Rafaello & Co. has designed pieces for celebrities such as Jamie Foxx, the Kardashians, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Drake and Jay-Z. The company, popularly known as the “jeweler to the stars,” recently received an order from Padres third baseman Manny Machado. On Saturday, a chain depicting the Padres’ “SD” logo in brown and gold made its Petco Park debut, with Machado placing it on catcher Austin Nola before the postgame interview following the 6-4 victory over the Mariners...”

Tatis 1-4 with a strikeout tonight

Haha.   He struck out against Hader with runners on in the top of the 9th when they attempted to mount a comeback from 5-0 down.

Human, after all...considering yesterday was putting up weekend numbers only Babe Ruth accomplished.

Woodruff completely shut them down.  Pretty sure they get Burnes tmrw as well.

Kelenic also homered tonight, his second....hitting 154/.592.

Tatis Jr. Is fucking incredible. He has 13 homeruns in 32 games... Hes got potential to be a Mike Trout type player. Un-fucking-believable. This is going to go down as the worst trade ever. The Red Sox at least got cash in the Babe Ruth trade. The White Sox got James Shields AND had to pay him a sum of money greater than $0.00.

Welcome to the club/party....speaking of dumbest plays, Tatis almost topped the Pirates with two errors on one play with a ball he should have just put in his pocket.

14 errors in 33 games now.   Over a full season, 69 errors.  Since he missed 17 games, the pace is down to 61-62.

Of course, he followed that up with a run scoring double and then scored on Hosmer homer to take back the lead.   I guess there are worse problems for the #1 record team in baseball.

Just hit a game tying three run homer (#15) off Pressly with two outs in top of the 9th in Houston.

Had gone 0/4 with 3 k’s and an RBI groundout prior.  Don Orsillo went nuts.  Ball went way up on the train tracks.   No idea yet but distance and EV are going to be off the charts.

He and A.Garcia (Rookie of the Year in AL for sure) of the Rangers are just on incredible homer tears.

Four consecutive extra inning games for first time in franchise history (4-4 overall.)

448 feet, 115 mph

If the tracks weren't there it may have went 488

That’s Luis Robert/Mercedes bomb territory there...interestingly, 3 of leading 12 MLB home run hitters started careers with Sox, including Semien and Eduardo Escobar.

Really would be his 16th homer if not for this pretty incredible play.

The Astros played infield in, allowed go ahead run in 10th when they opted to take DP instead of nailing Hosmer at home by twenty feet.  Announcers were aghast...’that’s the whole point of playing the infield in!”  Melancon “blew” first save of year last night due to the runner starting off on second, fwiw.

Future FA to be Correa doubles, ties game with no outs still.  Melancon goes from 17/17 SVO to 17/19 in two days.
