So what exactly is Cooper doing to make Lopez better?  There’s not been a single development he’s made since he got here.

I mean you can't wave away what was on balance a pretty solid season last year. And for better or worse his repertoire has changed quite a bit since laving Washington

Cooper taught Lopez a slider.  He still may not be that good, but that is not nothing.

His slider was significantly better on the Nats. He looks like a totally different pitcher, in a bad way, from his Nats days.

He didn't have a slider. He only threw a curveball. The weird thing is both Giolito and Lopez have both picked up a slider and completely lost their curveballs since joining the Sox. I really don't know why they taught Giolito a slider because he didn't need it. His curve was always ++ before he got here.

Gotta really wonder about some of the scouting staff that recommended Lopez and Giolito, too guys with MAJOR mental issues apparently.  Gotta do a better job trying to avoid guys like this in the future.

I think now that in hindsight all the talk about Lopez as a reliever was mostly due to his mental lapses and sustaining himself over 6-7 innings mentally.

Reinsdorf doesn"t pay for top notch scouts.

He relies heavily on the opposing team's evaluation and gets played a lot.  The Sox just got a bunch of Nats teases and headaches for Eaton.

Moncada trying hard to salvage the Sale trade.

Who knows about Eloy and Cease.

St. Theo is no fool.

Coop insists on the Damn slider/cutter. Coop needs to go. Sox need a different vision. Coop did nice things. But His time is up....

LOL that “no fool” just gave Darvish a terrible contact in the 2018 off-season

You mean the guy who spent $310 M on Darvish and Heyward?
