CaliSoxFanViaSWside
The difference so far in today's games versus the rest of the season is the Sox haven't yet come up with any 7 , 8 or 9 th inning heroics yet . One more inning to change that.

There is basically no market for guys like Alonso anymore. He’s going to end up being a minor league deal next year.

The Sox swept the 90 win Rays in Tampa last summer, too. The Sox aren't the Rays; they aren't the Yankees. They aren't the Padres or Phillies or Twins. They are a heck of a lot closer to the Orioles than to any of those teams. Today is not an anomaly. It's what they are. And it's inexcusable. But him hitting the target multiple time surprised me. And as I type this he almost drilled Nunez in the head twice. ?

What's inexcusable is that they ARE this close to the Orioles. This is a "perpetual rebuild" if things don't change. Hahn has either failed to build the infrastructure or has refused to, not wanting to bother since he has a lifetime contract.

He has potential but he's got to come up with a quality breaker. The slider isn't doing it. He should experiment with other offspeed pitches
