All 3 have been pretty mediocre. Why do you see Rodon as the worst of the 3? He's been around the longest, he's been injured, and has a history of not throwing strikes and going past the 5th inning. He isn't the same guy he was before his shoulder injury. I'm not sure he can get by at 90-93. His fastball command is nowhere near good enough. Quite frankly, I still see room for growth with Giolito and Lopez but I don't see any with Rodon. There is some deterioration of stuff with Rodon after his injury, but that is to be expected. QBBrian13
So, to be clear ... we have been really hurt today by two players, hitting in the bottom of the order, that entered the day with a .183 and .192 batting averages.

I have argued in the past I don't like NL pitchers and hitters so I was hoping for the best and I still am hoping he has some positive regression. Obviously doesn't look good now but there's really been nothing in the last 3 years to indicate he'd be this bad. Basically all he was doing was replacing SHields and I did expect a Shields like year without the all walks. I'm not always right but I'm not wrong yet until we see how the rest of his year goes. If he lasts a whole year Edited May 2, 2019 by CaliSoxFanViaSWside

SoxAce
Abreu has a terrible history of helping pitchers out. Stop swinging at shit out of the zone. Take your walk if he's giving it to you.
