Flash Tizzle
I can't believe they would just start construction without giving Sox fans an idea of what their doing. Wouldnt it be within their interests to atleast consider fan feadback on the upcoming renovations? A homerun porch, as discussed earlier, takes away some of the appeal of the concourse......not to mention many seats that will be removed I didn't notice any crews this week, though you probably get a better view off the Dan Ryan then I do in the Metra as it passes the cell. Guest hotsoxchick1
actually i was on 35th..right in front of the park....and they were there.....hard at work.....so i had to drive over across the ryan to get a look see at what was going on from that vantage point.. and they were in the ud on the lf side rippin out seats up top....... The Critic
I really liked what they did last year. If they can successfully improve the upper deck, which is the only legit argument against the place, then USCF becomes one of the better places to see a game in ALL of MLB. ...NEVER thought I'd say THAT..... HighHeat45
what exactly is a home run porch, if it an upper deck in the outfield like i think we dont need it at all, we cant even fill up the upper deck we have now

The Critic
If they could build a cool, old-fashioned looking HR porch, along with the Bullpen Bar area and the Fan Deck, USCF could become the Place To Be in a few years...assuming two things, of course: 1. Cellville begins to take shape, with some new/upscale dining and drinking establishments opening in the area, and 2. The Sox decide to NOT go cheap and actually try to make more acquisitions to improve the ballclub. ( This SHOULD be #1, but as the sCrUBS have historically proven - this year's accidental success notwithstanding - that you can throw ANYONE on the field if the park and neighborhood are considered "cool" ) It CAN happen....but I really doubt that it will...the "casual Chicago sports fan" ( which really means "borderline retard" ) will NEVER give USCF a second chance, assuming they've ever given the park a first chance. People believe whatever they're told, and it's hard to change peoples' minds.

The Critic
Oh NOOOOOO!!!!! PLEASE don't re-open that wound!!!! They really should re-think that policy, though - it is kind of s***ty to make the lower level much cooler and then refuse the upper deck people admittance, as if they're watching the game in another park. I think that rule will be erased before too long, IF people write or email to them to request it. People need to direct the complaint directly to the Sox, instead of starting threads about it here. ( that was NOT directed at you, wsf56789, there were multiple polls/threads during the season that got WAY too whiny and pissy about the debate )

The Bones
Everyone says the UD is too steep, but it's really not that bad. I've sat up there a few times, 3 to be exact, and it gives you a different perspective. I think it's better to be right on top of things than have it not as steep and be further away horizontally from the field. U.S. Cellular is a great place to watch BASEBALL. Too bad more people are more interested is watching plants grow on a wall.

The Organization is in dire need of a renovation. f*** USCF. Casual baseball fans don't like it because the Chicago Media says it sucks so the mindless sheep of Chicago go to where the Chicago Media tells them to go..... Wrigley Field. No renovation, especially after the year the Cubs are currently having, is going to change that. So typical of the Sox Organization. Skirt the REAL reason why Sox fans don't show up. I'm glad the braintrusts running this Organization think it has everything to do with the ballpark. Maybe someday, the Organization will realize that the fans left because Reinsdorf and Co. have f***ed the White Sox fans more often than Houston and Jasmin St. Clare in their gangbangs..... COMBINED! :fyou White Sox Organization.

JR will have any renovation done that US Cellular is willing to pay for regardless of what the fans think. I guess they're removing the top rows of the UD sections because Reinsdorf has a hard time getting up there. For that matter, why do any renovation if he doesn't care what the fans think..... Obviously they do hold fan opinion into consideration while doing renovations or they wouldnt of touched the UD....which recieves criticism from fans and media alike. USCF just isnt his own art masterpiece he's left to gaze at and admire. What I meant, more then fan consideration, is how they should atleast release composite sketches of what they plan on doing. Not to say they wont, but for the mean time were all left to speculate whats going on while workers are busy working at the cell. If something was done that fans detested I guaranteed it would be removed because they are the ones b****ing. SO....why not just prevent this and release plans to the public. KeithFranklin
What I dont understand is why the LD is not full everynight...It is a great place to watch a game... As for the upper deck...I have never had a problem with it. You can see the whole field without any obstruction and you cant say that for a huge portion at the hole on the north side. As for the Home Run porch...I dont know if I like the idea of any upper deck in the outfield... I do believe that the pricing for tickets in the upper deck should be like half the lower deck.
