I wouldn't be surprised if he'll be another candidate that goes under the knife at some point. It's a shame because Burr is one of the young guys in that pen that is legit decent. But a few people here had him on the surgery table last time he went on the IL and he was back shortly after the minimum stay, so it seems a bit premature to be projecting surgery. Lip Man 1 Posted May 28, 2019 Share Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) Another blow to those who posted that they thought the Sox pen would be fine moving forward with all the "talent/prospects" in the system. Me thinks not. Fortunately good experienced bullpen options are always available every off season so it shouldn't be a killer to the rebuild. As I posted though I have very little faith any of the players those folks were touting will be anything substantial for the Sox in the future.
