chitownsportsfan
Sox have quietly played .500 baseball for about a month now. I'm not sweating the RD on a team with SP this bad. That said, the money clearly has to be spent on pitching. Ideally in 2022 guys like Lopez and Dunning are your 6th and 7th starters (for example, just build that depth again). Position player wise holy shit if McCann is actually a 3 WAR catcher that's massive.

Theres competition in the very near future IF the FO plays this right.

mqr
Apparently Giolito didn’t know it was a 6:40 start. Would explain the hiccup.

Thought it was a joke. Seriously though, how is that not communicated explicitly on Monday what they were going to do tonight? Giolito must not have been paying attention yesterday. Yeah I wanna be mad at Ricky and co but it really feels like Lucas just spaced out in a meeting or something
JUSTgottaBELIEVE
There’s a clear path to second place in the division by the end of this week. Indians are fading hard and come to town Thursday...

It's wild to think about, but it's a valid thought at this point. If James McCann has actually figured this whole hitting thing out... that's one helluva unexpected development. Especially seeing as he's always been a stud behind the plate.

They had a star in Sale with Quintana a capable #2 or #3 and Kenny and his crack staff wasted both of them. Sale should have won at least one Cy Young and Quintana was good enough for at least one All-Star team. No run support. It was painful to watch. Lip Man 1
Perfect Tuesday for me. Sox took a DH (I know it was the Royals but still) and the Cubs got hammered again. Even Yolmer did something baseball worth besides acting like a clown! Only downer, Eloy 0-6. My God he's down to around .206. And Yonder that "terrific" clean up hitter is now at .176 LOL. Perhaps two pieces of the 25 man puzzle.

I have been saying for a while that Boston still has a big hole in their pen. They are using the new approach where the closer comes in for the 7th, 8th or 9th depending on the situation. last night he came in for the 8th and then the pen blew the 9th. Maybe we cantake advantage of DD in a trade for Colome

Red Sox have a strong LH hitting 1B prospect in Tristan Casas (who might obviate any interest in Vaughn in favor of Abrams).
