05/29 Games #CeaseDay

There are few things as beautiful to me as Tim Anderson going from 1st to Home, especially when he rounds 3rd.

And soon I can add to that Luis Robert going from Home to Third.

Although Tim runs so much more violently than robert so it's still kinda more fun to me.

Anderson runs kind of like a moron, it's amazing that he's so fast. Robert looks like a sprinter. That dude should be playing wide out for the bears.

He's really bad getting out of the box, but when he gets going it's like seeing old timey roberto clemente clips where he's flailing his arms and sliding in to the base like a mortal combat finishing move. I love it.

Rutherford is on the younger side still. Repeating wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Robert should hit AAA and reach majors when service time issues dictates. I know as a fans this is frustrating but it’s about winning long term. If he’s extendable in summer he should start CF 2020.

Only 2 K for Cease though.

You don't need to be K'ing 10+ hitters a game to be effective. And Indianapolis has been aggressively swinging early in the count. If it makes you feel better, he's up to 4 SO now through 6 (gave up 2 runs though).

I was wondering if they were trying to aggressively swing early in the count. Thanks for the update.

Keep in mind Eloy had over 800+ more AB's in the minors than Robert before he hit AAA. Obviously development is linear with some (and Robert did play in a pro league as a youngster) but he hasn't been Juan Soto good either. I like him hitting AAA this year too though to finish out the year. We'll see where he's at in 2020.

Personally, I can't wait to see him in the futures game (which he will be a shoe in to be picked).

It's all about leagues and parks in the minors. Robert's wRC+ after today is going to be around 170. Juan Soto's AA wRC+ was 171. In that park Robert is absolutely dominating.
