Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him

I like Betances if he comes back strong from his injury.  No idea what he would cost due to this factor and missing half the season.

I like Betances too but there’s a good chance his best days are behind him, will he be healthy the rest of this season and beyond and, if so, there’s a good chance the Yankees extend him.

There are some people who like seeing Juan Minaya and Matt Davidson as our closers. There are also some people who are into a perpetual rebuild. The White Sox finally have a closer (Colome) who saves games. He's the first good closer the team has had since David Robertson. Unless the team gets a overwhelming offer for him, ( I don't mean another Blake Rutherford) I hope he stays here. I go to half of our home games. Its good to see somebody like Colome coming in and saving our games.

Absolutely agree.

You got a closer.

That's one less thing to worry about.

It's about the owner filling some holes with some vetted difference makers using some of the cash they claim is available.

I know in Reinsdorf's world  he makes it to the series with minuscule  payroll. It happened in 2005. Not happening again - let's go !!

And stop babying Cease.

Bring him up.

I agree with your point.  The concern for me is getting an extension so you have certainty he's here for more than one additional year.  His current contract ends just when we are taking off.  His value will never be higher than it is today so I don't want to give that up and just hope it'll all work out.

They need him with Cutch out for the year.  Haven't heard a lot of great things about him anyways.

Forgot about that injury.  I also think some people expect too much for Colome.  But a young lefty CF/RF or 2B would be a nice get for him.

No need for a 2B to be honest.  It's going to be Madrigal's job in a year or so.

Sox should be targeting starting pitching in every trade they make the next several years.

Eh, probably.  But I like the idea of nabbing one of some other team’s top positional prospects.  Let a better organization develop the player we want since the Sox aren’t exactly known for developing hitters.

Is he going to deserve it first?  Dude needs to show something other than getting a promotion because he was a high first round pick.
