Yeah, I don't like Kenny and love Rick Hahn because Kenny Williams is black.  What a stupid fucking post.

Agreed, you lost me here...  if BackDoorBreach’s assumption is correct.  I don’t like either equally.  ?

Yes at least KW won the Sox a World Series  with perhaps the same constraints that Reinsdorf has put on Hahn. If they are both under these same restraints where the Sox can only choose the less talented free agents  at least Kenny did it well enough to win. Funny how Hahn is loved while Kenny is hated by some. Hmm what's the difference  between them? Hmmm I wonder.

I like Hahn because the team being developed for next year and beyond looks like a very exciting and competitive team.  The various bumps along the way are just part of the process.  If all our prospects fall flat than I will be calling for change of leadership.  The proof will be in the results we see or don't see in the next two years.

You sound like a Hahn supporter, Poppy.  The Tatis/Shields fuck up is more than a bump.  There are other non bumps.

I'm a Sox fan and Hahn is the man in charge.  I'll believe in him until he fails then I'll move on if necessary.  Every GM does some questionable stuff.  I didn't like the Shields trade but I'll stick with just another bump.  Next year and beyond I want to see the results for my patience.

Oh internet tough guy complete with a tough guy picture. There is always the possibility that is a reason. Let's not pretend it doesn't exist if even on a subconscious level .

Good luck getting a ticket when Jay gets called up.

I wonder why I "hate" Jay so much. My baseball brain can get bleeped up sometimes. I don't hate McCann (he's obviously having a nice season) or Beef or even Alonso that much. But the idea of watching Jay play makes me figuratively ill. Sorry Mr. Jay. Maybe I should give you a chance. I even like Tilson way more than Jay.

p.s. Obviously I am in a very anti Beef mode when Ricky bats him fourth. That obviously is buzzkill through the course of a game.

Jay was always a useful player in the way L. Garcia is useful.  Decent all around player and doesn't cost a ton.  Good teammate by all accounts.  He just doesn't belong getting at-bats instead of Tilson or Cordell or anyone who might have a roll on our contending roster.  Some careers just kind of drift away without anyone being at fault.

I agree he has been a useful major league player.  When signed he made some sense as we didn't have a lot of those around.  Now, I hope he gets up and is decent so he can get us a lottery ticket in a trade.  No AAAA players as we have a 40 man crunch coming but some guy who most likely never gets out of A or AA but has a chance to be good.

Throw in a package with Colome to get a right fielder.
