***Day 3 MLB Draft Thread Rounds 11-40***

Moore's MLB.com scouting report: Moore is a big right-hander from Texas with big velocity -- the Arkansas-Little Rock junior is 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, and his fastball gets up to 98 mph. That gives him plenty of strikeout potential -- he had 22 K's in his 17 2/3 innings this season. But he needs to work on his delivery and strike-throwing. Moore actually had more walks, 23, than strikeouts this season.

Yeah I like our 11th rounder but pretty boring rest. Which doesn't mean anything long-term, just not as fun on draft day.

I have to think they know something about that 12th rounder coming out of a baseball factory. Or else it's an uninspiring day.

Caleb Freeman

Texas TechRHP
Notes:

Ht: 6-3 | Wt: 205 | B-T: R-R
Commit/Drafted: Never Drafted
Scouting Report: A glance at Freeman’s statistics would seem to preclude any idea of him being drafted. Freeman was expected to be Texas Tech’s closer thanks to a 94-98 mph fastball, but he’s much more of a thrower than a pitcher and his velocity dipped to 92 mph at times. Most importantly, he can’t find the strike zone. Opponents hit .393 against Freeman, as he went 2-0, 6.75 with 12 walks and 12 strikeouts in 14.2 innings this spring. Freeman shows flashes of having a plus breaking ball to go with his sometimes plus fastball, but his 20-grade control and command keeps him from taking advantage of his high-end stuff.

Is there anything remarkable about him? Good fastball, crazy changeup, knuckleball?

I think at this point they pretty much phone in random draft IDs and hope it's linked to an actual player.

He had a nice showing in the cape cod league last year, but that's about it. Might be something to build off of, but from pure Texas Tech perspective, its sketchy.

20 grade control? Yikes

Ht: 6-3 | Wt: 194 | B-T: R-R
Commit/Drafted: Eastern Kentucky
Scouting Report: Gladney is a big and strong third baseman with a promising bat and plus raw power. There’s contact issues right now to go with the power. There are more concerns about his defense as a number of evaluators believe he will end up in left field eventually. He’s signed to go to Eastern Kentucky.
