Tim still has absolute putrid at bats way too often.  At this point you wonder if he will ever figure that out.

We have way too many guys over the past decade that just get up there and swing at everything.

Which shockingly coincides with bad offense and losing baseball.. shockingly.

He's just frustrating more so because he has the tools and speed on the base paths.  Him giving up ABs so often is maddening.

Are people being sarcastic? Most of the time, TA is balling up there. Fuck you if you think he's not allowed to have a bad game.

Tim is a good player but many of us want him to be great and in order to be great he's gotta get a better handle on how to approach ABs like that.

And he has a terrible approach a lot more than you would like to see with his talent. If he refined that more he could be elite.

Am I just seeing things or has Covey ditched the sinker? That could explain why he's pitching better.

He is quickly replacing Lopez as best probable #5 when rebuild is complete.

So the solution is for us to b**** and whine about it here in a season where he has shown tremendous progress going from average to good? There's no point in complaining about a players progress when he is proving he can make significant progress.

His best pitch when he's been rolling has been his 2 seamer and then following that up with a decent change and breaking ball.  I would hope he ditches the sinker.  Pitching to contact is a fool's errand.

edit: 2 seamer, yikes.  More coffee.
