Bmr31
OK, here is my question......... Why did Pedro hit Garcia?? I came in late and I guess missed part of it. what motivation would Pedro have to go "head hunting"? He was getting HAMMERED by the yanks, and men were on 2nd and 3rd. Basically it was a "oh youre gonna hit me hard? let me give ya something to think about."
Spiff
Clemens has hit 141 batters, but I sincerely doubt even 1% were in the head. Remember Mike Piazza? Remember how when Clemens hit him he was lying on the ground for a while, and was on the DL for a while? I don't seem to remember Zimmer bolting out to scream at Roger... winninguglyin83
I just wonder how much head-hunting either Pedro or Clemens would do if they were in the NL -- and had to hit. Precious little. Easy to be a tough guy when you don't have to stick YOUR head in front of a fastball. It's the worst byproduct of the DH. Hell, the Yankees try to arrange their rotation so Clemens never has to pitch in Shea in the aftermath of the Piazza beaning. Also, let's not forget Pedro hit Soriano and Jeter in the hands earlier in the season. In games against the White Sox, my memory has been Pedro more likely to hit somebody. Both of those guys have enough ability they shouldn't have to pull that garbage.

Soxfest
I did not see Zimmer upset when Clemens nailed Piazza in the head, :fyou Zimmer keep your old ass in the dugout and do not cry when shoe is on the other foot.

JoshPR
Did you check out the replay? Zimmer attacked Pedro first... Did anyone hear the Comments made by that Co*K Sutcliffe??? He said Pedro had no right to throw an 80 year old man on the ground.... HUH!!!!! What right does a 72 yr old foogie to go after a player?? f*** it he should have put a fist in his face. Zimmer attacked first. As for Garcia.. Good, I remember when that coward sucker punched Foulke in 2000. My Sympathy for him is zero, cero, nada, nothing. Sutcliffe was whining about all that cause it was the Yankess. :fyou Sutcliffe

whitesox247
Everyone got way overreacted. This game showed just how much these teams hate each other. After the game, Grady Little even said that the pitch to Manny "wasnt that close". As for Pedro, you dont just f***ing shove a 72 year old man to the ground because you felt like it. He didn't just because he "felt" like it. He was charged and swung at. After seeing what happened I don't totally blame Pedro. Zimmer should have just sat on the bench and stayed out of it. I only saw the verbal attack from the Yankees bench.
Rex Hudler
Yes, when the benches emptied, Zimmer sought out Pedro and went after him. It was a sad sight. You'd catch all of this if you read all of the posts, rather than skim.
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
The Pedro-Zimmer thing, the bullpen thing... I'll betch Ligue is salivating somewhere. Of course he probably is always doing that, but maybe extry hard.

LOL I could have said "Hey, read all the f***ing posts first, you idiot", but I didn't because I have done the same. Granted I called myself an idiot immediately after doing so, but that's just me.
