Sleepy Harold
Bon voyage Jordan.
CWSpalehoseCWS
He's had a rough go of things at the AAA level. Seems like a middle relief option if he can ever figure out how to keep the ball in the park.
SoxAce
Essentially Alex Call and Jordan Stephens for Yonder Alonso in hindsight. Doesn't benefit either team (Call and Stephens are more on the fringey side), but Cleveland "wins" cause they got rid of that salary. pcq
Two minor league RHP deals with Allen Beer and Vladimir Nunez.

What does Stephens have to do with Alonso and Call deal?
RTC
Did I miss something? If he was claimed off waivers doesn’t that mean they were moving him off the 40? Do teams randomly do that during the season or can we anticipate someone being added, possibly to move them up to Chicago?

I believe he was on 60-day IL, if so then he was exempt from 40 man roster count, so they need to add him back to 40-man.
Thomas_Ventura_Roberts
Makes sense. The Sox have a lot better middle relief prospects than Jordan Stephens. Don't know why he was ranked the White Sox #29 prospect by MLB as there are more intriguing prospects in the system. As a 26 year old with one above average pitch, his 8.60 ERA with a .330 batting average against are not great stats.
Jake
Decent chance Stephens ends up getting moved off Cleveland's 40 before long as well, so we may see this turn into an Ian Clarkin type of situation
