Yankees vs White Sox Father's Day Gamethread

Compare this to the Yankees yesterday.  They don't have anybody good, so they go to an opener, who starts the game off on a good note.  he Sox treat a game started by Giolito or Chris Sale exactly like they treat a game started by Manny Banuelos or Despaigne or whoever.  They expect them to go 6 to 7 regardless of how many they give up.  Completely inflexible thinking that will keep them from being a championship club unless they have overwhelming talent.  The Yankees have won every game they've used the opener.  I'm not sure the Sox have ever triedit.  Ricky values his ability to use 4 guys in the 8th too much to experiment.

This is what this season is going to be. Ups and downs. You can't be on cloud nine every time Giolito pitches and then curse the organization every time Banuelos or Despaigne pitches.

Sox won’t sniff .500 for the rest of the season. The fact that this guy is even on the major league roster is insulting to the fan base

He's filler(fodder).  Only excuse is for him to patch a hole while Cease and co. climb up the ladder.  I agree though, it's insulting that he was the one chosen to be the patch...certainly there were other options...

I think we can be both on cloud nine and pissed at the situation. There are fixes for marching bums out to the mound. It can be addressed and isn't right now.

Enough is enough...time to bring up better pitching or trade for it. Wrap this rebuild up. All the good vibes of crawling back to .500 gets flushed down the toilet when we have to roll out bums like Despaigne.  THE TIME IS NOW.

They have one guy they can even bring up, and that guy has not been pitching well of late.  This is why we need to trade Colome.

Nah the time isn't now. The time could be next year. But if you expect much from rookie pitchers or guys coming off TJ surgery you might be in for a rude awakening next year too.
