Hahn wishes he could make the cheap pickups the Twins do year after year.  He gets bums like Castillo, Alonso, and Jay.  The Twins acquire Cruz, Cron, and Schoop.

Well we were trying to load up on the friends and family discount deal for Manny.

The hot takes in here are quite something. It‘s not like Giolito dominated the Rays in his last start.

People saying he looks like '18 Gio are being short-sided. That Giolito would be walking 5+ guys as well as giving up runs and not K'ing anybody. His peripheral numbers this year are far superior.

Regression is a b**** for both Gio and McCann.

92 mph fastballs won’t work...regression sucks

Lol...how is this regression for Giolito?  Dude was filthy in the first half and had the stuff to back up the numbers.

Ya'll need to chill on the hot takes. Gio's last 8 opponents have been NYY, BOS, CHCx2, KCR, TBR, and MINx2. That is a hell of a lot of good offenses. He'll be fine, especially as he gets more experience (and consistency) with his new delivery

Not to mention their owner actually spends the money on far superior scouting and analytics department despite a low payroll as a small market team compared to our owner.

So you are implying that these injuries are Cooper‘s fault?

You are taking your shtick too far

Not necessarily his fault, but I also don’t believe he has the slightest clue how to coach up this new generation of velocity guys. The bigger issue is that keeping pitchers healthy used to be something he was praised for, but that has shifted.  I just don’t see how they can justify keeping him around getting his massive failures the last 5 years or so.

If a pitcher can't beat good lineups, he's not a top of the rotation starter.  We need better than #3 pitchers to do some damage going forward.

Yeah if they spend on starting pitching this offseason, I don’t see how they won’t be the favorite in the AL Central next few years.

He struck out 7 batters in 5 innings, and hit 96 mph multiple times. He's fine. Cruz is hot as fuck and added a little extra ingredient in his protein shake. He ran into a hot power hitter. Meh.

And have fired GM’s twice and managers at least twice over the last decade...despite the Twins getting a wild card berth in 2017.
