Moncada has a high BABIP but he also destroys baseballs when he makes contact, hits a ton of line drives and is super fast. Those things lead to a more sustainable high BABIP. Giolito is missing tons of bats and his spin rates have gone from below average to above average. Anderson is going to have seasons where he hits .265 and seasons where he hits .310. He's probably good for 20/20 every year regardless.

And he's still got a wRC+ of 112. If he's around 100 that's fine with nice defense.

His pitchers rarely shake him off which is a pretty good sign that he calls a good game and is on the same page with his starters... and that they trust him. Pitch Execution isn't the responsibility of the catcher.

Well Jack, to be honest, when I heard the Sox signed a catcher named McCann in the off-season I thought it was Brian McCann. So I can guarantee you that McCann was not who I thought he was. The amount of 2 strike hits Sox pitchers are giving up with him behind the plate is astounding. On 4-5 of the hits Lopez gave up tonight, he was ahead in the count. He was also the starter for a team that was a contender in 2016. So by definition he already was a starter on a contender. If he is your Nr.8 hitter, he is fine.
