Guys is Madrigal a unicorn or are there more hitters out there similar to him? Obviously they'd strike out more.

What I mean by this is guys with well above average speed, gap power good to great defense and a 70 hit tool that strike out 75 or fewer times per 700 PA.

There were 3 qualified hitters in MLB last year who had under a 10% K Rate. Yes he's a unicorn.

do you ever say anything is a cheap homer?  You really need to start differentiating between a bomb and a BOMB

Nope. :D maybe I'll start lower casing bomb when I type if it's cheap... maybe.

Good for Robert, and I'm a bit bummed that Madrigal is a unicorn because baseball would be a better game with more players like him.

I think they are going to call him up as well. The 2nd half has been a disaster, but you’re still seeing people come out the park. I think that may fade as the summer comes to a close, and they are going to need some more buzz.

What about Madrigal? He coming with la Pantera?

Nah, I don’t see that. Agree with fathom, different circumstances, kid can hit but even offseason hopefully he can put on just a little bit more muscle, etc.

I imagine him up around June 1, maybe earlier if the Sox come out the gates strong.

What do you guys think they do with Kopech? Try to get the year back by sending him to Charlotte until 6/1 or start him in the Majors? This is the most interesting decision of them all.

If he has a strong spring and they spend even a little money in the offseason, they’ll get killed for that. If looks like trash in the spring and velo is down, maybe, but I hope that isn’t the case.

What if the velo is fine but the command is atrocious? That tends to happen to guys just back from TJS.

I don’t think there a chance in hell he goes to the minors if he looks good in ST

I guess it’s the same deal then, but he’d have to look real bad for him to spend half the season in AAA

I think there is a slight possibility that the velocity is fine but he's really wild.

I agree with you guys that if Kopech looks good to go in ST that he starts in Chicago but if they have a reasonable excuse to send him down they will.

Ok another question: assuming Vaughn's bat is as special as everyone thinks it is, and he rakes at every level, when does he make his MLB debut? Late August 2020 or do they wait on him too?

If he tears it up no reason to hold him down imo
