One unofficial punishment for getting caught taking PEDs: your whole career is tainted. If you suck afterwards (beef), you were only good because of the roids. If you are good afterwards, you are back on the roids and getting away with it. If Cruz doesn't like it, tough, he shouldn't have cheated in the first place.
