southsider2k5
Nothing like the old three on three football, eh southsider? Amen to that. I used to think Pong was the most incredible thing. Then the Atari came along... now I have more computing power in my cell phone

I would have to get out Pong and an Atari 2600 to do the samething I'm so old I'm reliving my youth and waiting for Pong to be invented. Damn it seems to take longer the second time for something to be invented. I'm going to go play my Beatles 45s
Steaming Willy Harris
I could never play those old Genesis sports games aside from NBA Jam and NHL, like theyre too hard to play and look like garbage. Its pretty amazing how far they have come since those days, every ps2 ea sports game now is near perfect and fun as hell to play.
Queen Prawn
Man I feel old. I would have to get out Pong and an Atari 2600 to do the samething LMAO! Ditto for me - that - Atari 2600 - was the first (and only) 'expensive' toy my mom and dad bought the three of us. I love the old atari games. I have the ROMs and I got a hold of the anniversary edition (I almost bought the Playstation version, but changed my mind at the last minute) for the computer. CubKilla
I was just wondering one day..... is there a Commodore 64 emulator? I had a ton of great games for the Commodore 64 and would play that for hours on end.
Brian
I have PS2 now, but still have my Sega Genesis packed up in my closet. I guess I should just toss it out, just collecting dust.

I have no idea if it is still operational or not (he says it is), but it hasn't been gassed up in at least 5 years (before he moved into the house). I might have something to keep me occupied in the up coming cold months... :banghead (me trying to make something work that I've never used before)

The Beast
N64 and Sega were classics. I wonder if they are going to in fact make a PS3. But what would you want different if there was a PS3?

The next Playstation is gonna be called PSX. It goes on sale in Japan early next year for like $700 US dollars. Not sure of the yen. I read an article on it last week actually. Wish I could find it again. I guess the thing will do everything but make your bed.
Capn12
Even better than the Genesis and/or original Nintendo emulators are teh Arcade Emulator!!!! I have had that on the PC for quite a while. Nothing better than being able to play Tempest or A.P.B in all their arcade splendor!!! And, I still have my original Nintendo!!! And yes, I still have to blow into each cartridge to make it work I always hated that part of the Nintendo generation, but Tecmo Bowl owns!! Steaming Willy Harris
Which tecmo bowl do you like more is the question. I think i prefer normal tecmo bowl because qbs throw so many picks and have such a limited play selection its real easy to piss your friends off who you are playing

The psx isn't a replacement to the PS2, but more of a gaming type system for computer games and such. The next system will be the PS3 and I think its 2 years away. I heard right now its one of the fastest computers in the world. Supposed to be an awesome machine.
Steaming Willy Harris
Chisoxfan is right, psx is just a high end version of ps2 with better video qualities, a hard drive, and a dvd burner. ps3 will be the next system to come out, and hopefully if its anything like the last two main video game products sony put out it will be amazing. sounds like there is absolutely no reason to get a psx, hell it probably wont even make its way stateside. Nobody wants to spend 700 dollars on a video game system that they could get for 150 along with a higher quality dvd player and a harddrive. If someone wanted to rip dvd video so badly they could spend that 700 dollars on a decent bargain computer and still do that kind of thing.
