Potential lineup with Ozuna looks amazing:

Robert-CF

Yoan-3B

Abreu- 1B

Grandal- C

Eloy- LF/RF

Ozuna- RF/LF

Anderson-SS

McCann-DH

Madrigal-2B

WOW, finally respectable players at every spot. When Ozuna is your 6th hitter, you are doing something right.

Still would much rather have McCann as a backup and bring in another hitter for the DH spot (unless Sox do want Collins there) but I like it.

Monthly Stats over the last 3 seasons, in which he seemed pretty consistently good. Last year he missed July and had a terrible September, but was pretty good, outside of that:

Who are the best lefty RF options?  Joc probably?  He would cost talent just for one year of his services.  After Joc, Kole Calhoun?  He is trash.

I hate the idea of adding a left-handed bat just to add a lefty bat to the lineup.  Give me the best hitter, regardless of handedness.

There's a few to trade for but Joc would be up there as he should not cost much. Calhoun is a hard no, I see him coming here and falling apart.

Throw in Vaughn come 2021 and that lineup could hit 250 HRs.

Unfortunately, we probably won’t be able to have an official Sox lineup for MLB The Show video game.  I’m guessing it’s going to be a rotation of primarily Grandal, McCann, Collins, and Abreu.  Eloy too, from time to time.

You know I want the rumor to be true just for the simple fact I want see how big of an idiot Bruce Levine really is.

Seriously, I want Levine to own this on Monday and look like a complete moron for having less sources than some no name Dominican reporter after checking with his own sources and saying it was a false report.

Here's what I'll say on Ozuna. None of the Sox writers can confirm and many have denied that it's true already. Marcell Ozuna's family in the DR thinks it's true in addition to reporters there however.

Thanks for this. Where are you seeing the stuff about Ozuna’s family? Interested to see this

What makes this so weird is not a single person here in the beat reporters have said anything on it being true and we are 5-6 hours From when that was tweeted, you would think after a couple someone else would have picked up on it but who knows

Maybe they were told by the Sox to shut the fuck up and now blow this one like the Machado, Pederson, and Wheeler leaks.

You would think they would have decided that after screwing up the Machado deal.

However if true it’s a good thing, but that would also be giving this organization too much credit lol

Ozuna doesn't hit RHP better than LHP. It's actually the opposite.

His numbers from this past season may appear that way, but he only had 89 PAs for LHP. That's far too small of a sample size to draw any conclusions. For his career, he has a 126 wRC+ vs LHP and a 109 wRC+ vs RHP.

He’s hit righties better than lefties in two of the last three seasons.  Whether that’s the start of a trend or just small sample size I don’t know.

Almost certainly small sample size. 2017 was legit, but 89 PAs is nothing.

I just cannot see a White Sox source doing that to Bruce. I am not a Bruce guy, but am sure his source is pretty connected to the team, and it’s not like the news wasn’t out yet. To say it is false when it is not would really be a dick move. Bruce is certainly more of a Cubs guy but he does give the Sox a lot more time on his show than most non flagship shows. That would be biting a hand that feeds you.
